The goal is not simply to place one cutout over another image. A believable result depends on scale, eye line, lighting direction, sharpness, and leaving enough room in the original frame for another person.
This first release helps you prepare the right source photos and understand the workflow. Image generation is not connected yet, so the interface tells you that before you select files or expect a finished download.
Before you choose
Choose photos that can belong together
Use the highest-resolution original available instead of a screenshot of a social post.
Match the body angle when possible: a front-facing portrait fits a front-facing group more naturally.
Choose photos with similar light direction and avoid heavy beauty filters on only one source.
Leave visible space beside the group so the added person does not cover faces, hands, or event details.

Plan the result before editing
Decide whether the person should appear as part of the original group or as a softer memorial presence. Those are different visual outcomes and should not be mixed accidentally.
Look for a natural gap, a shared eye line, and a body angle that supports the story of the photo. A technically clean merge can still feel wrong when the placement ignores the original interaction.

Can I add a loved one from a different photo?
That is the intended workflow: one main photo plus one separate portrait. The generation backend is not live in this first release, but the page shows how the two-photo process will work.
What kind of portrait should I use?
Choose a sharp image with the face unobstructed, natural lighting, and a body angle similar to the people in the main photo.
Are my selected photos uploaded?
No. In the current preview, selected images stay in your browser. The site does not send them to a generation service yet.
Does this page create the finished photo now?
Not yet. Image generation is disabled and labeled as coming soon until the editing pipeline is connected and verified.
